The Oyster Perpetual has no date and no rotating bezel, so the dial and the strap are all there is to look at, and changing the strap changes the watch. Leather works on the 36 and 39, and rubber on all three sizes, including the 41.
Our leather straps are universal 20mm straps, made for any watch with that lug width rather than for one model, and both the 36 and the 39 have 20mm lugs. They cost €90 in three finishes:
Epsom and smooth leather come with quick-release spring bars; suede uses standard ones. You'll find all of them on Rolex leather straps.
On a watch this plain, the strap color does a lot of the work. The 20mm curved-end rubber for the 36 and 39 comes in over 20 colors at €76.50, from black and grey to yellow, green, red and a limited-edition pink, and closes with a steel buckle in silver or black. If you'd rather keep the Rolex Oysterclasp, the FKM Vulcanized version mounts on it, in ten colors from €140.
The 41 takes a 21mm curved-end FKM at €140, with a steel buckle, in black, white, green, yellow, red and sky blue. The green and yellow go with two of the lacquered dials Rolex launched on the 41 in 2020.
Rolex replaced the 39 with the 41 in 2020, and side by side they're hard to tell apart. The 41's lugs are 1mm wider, though, so a strap cut for the 39 won't fill them. If you can't tell which one yours is, send us the reference and we'll tell you which width to order. The smaller Oyster Perpetuals aren't covered by these straps.
A spring bar tool (€20) takes the bracelet off. Replacement spring bars cost €12 a pair, in 20mm or 21mm. For a NATO, the 20mm FKM rubber version at €65 is on Rolex NATO straps.
