Leather straps for Rolex

Each Tempomat leather strap is cut, edged and stitched by hand in our Madrid workshop. We build them at 20mm so they fit the Rolex Submariner 40, GMT-Master 40, Daytona 40, Day-Date 40, Datejust 36, Explorer 36-39, Milgauss and Air-King. Three leathers to choose from: suede, Epsom calf and smooth leather, each €90 with a stainless steel buckle. Our Epsom and smooth lines come with quick-release spring bars, so you can swap straps without tools.

Which Rolex references fit a 20mm leather strap

All our leather straps measure 20mm at the lug and taper to 16mm at the buckle. They fit any Rolex with 20mm lug width, which covers most 36-40mm references:

Three leathers, one width

Every Tempomat leather strap is built on the same 20mm base, but each leather behaves differently on the wrist.

Suede. Four colors: grey, camel brown, dark brown and navy blue. Matte finish that breaks in quickly and dresses a watch down. Best on Datejust 36, Day-Date 40 and Explorer 36-39 for casual wear. €90.

Epsom calf. Four colors: black, blue, taupe and grey. Embossed grain that holds its shape and resists scratches. 2.5mm thick, with quick-release spring bars in the box. Works on Submariner 40, GMT-Master and Daytona 40 when you want presence without a polished finish. €90.

Smooth leather. Two colors: sky blue and brown. Polished finish for dress configurations. 2.5mm thick, with quick-release spring bars. Pairs best with the Day-Date 40 and two-tone Datejust 36. €90.

Does Rolex sell leather straps?

Rolex doesn't ship leather straps from the factory. Every Rolex sport and dress model leaves Geneva on an Oyster bracelet, a Jubilee, an Oysterflex or a Pearlmaster. Leather has never been part of the catalogue. Leather straps for Rolex are an aftermarket choice, and they're how owners change the personality of the watch without changing the watch itself. A black Epsom on a Submariner reads dressier. A camel brown suede on a Day-Date 40 reads vintage. A dark brown calf on an Explorer 36 reads quiet. Same watch, different mood.

Which color works for which Rolex

A few starting points if you're choosing between colors:

• Submariner (black or green dial). Black Epsom or dark brown suede.
• GMT-Master Pepsi or Batman. Navy blue suede or blue Epsom.
• Daytona steel (116500, 116520). Black Epsom or brown smooth leather.
• Day-Date 40 yellow gold. Camel brown suede or brown smooth leather.
• Datejust 36 two-tone. Taupe Epsom or grey suede.
• Explorer 36-39. Dark brown suede.
• Yacht-Master steel or Rolesium. Grey suede or sky blue smooth leather.

Every Tempomat leather strap includes:

• A handmade 20mm leather strap, tapered to 16mm at the buckle.
• A stainless steel buckle (silver finish; matte black available on selected references).
• Quick-release spring bars on the Epsom and smooth leather lines. Suede uses standard spring bars.
• Strap measurements: 11.5-12cm × 7-7.5cm plus buckle.
